Artist's Comments

A view of the skirt from the back. I was surprised by just how flattering the skirt turned out to be; one of the nice things about mail is that is highly form fitting when done correctly, as it has no stiffness or shape of it's own.

It really does shape beautifully. Your friend wears it quite lovely.

(The 6-year old in me is amused that one cheek catches all the light )

Most certainly. Very flattering view from the back. I have always loved Rae's butt... but it just looks gorgeous... seriously.

If you ever felt the burning desire to make another one... I'd buy it from you.

Seriously? If you can provide the cost of materials and labor, I'd be more than happy to make you one.

Totally seriously.

Hi. are those metal beads? i was planning on making a mystique costume....with flat metal beads that look like scales. do you know where i can buy these?
:iconmetalartisan:
They're more like plates than metal beads - they're held together with chainmail rings. I bought them from a website called The Ring Lord ([link]); as far as I know, they're the only supplier of things like this in North America.

cool. thanks for the info. i ended up cutting out my own stencil to make my own designed.
